We are going to rework the inbound mailsystem.

We are going to rework the entire inbound mailsystem. The new mailsystem will have more scalability and much more power, fault tolerance and features compared to the old mailsystem.

Affected customers:
All customers with Forwarding Mails and/or Mailaccounts and/or Domains are affected.

Impact for customers:

* Before the activation of the new inbound mailsystem: no impact
* During the activation of the new inbound mailsystem: no impact (seamless change)
* After the full activation of the new inbound mailsystem and deactivation of the old mailsystem:
** Change of the internal routing of mails (only headers affected)
** Re-Activation of some selected inbound spam / antivirus policies for mail-alias
** Rejection of mails that apply to selected inbound policy for mail alias
** Activation of "no spam forwarding" - policy for all email-forwarding to external providers

deployment plan:
* development and test: until 12.10.2021
* deployment and parallel service new/old: 13.10.2021 - 20.10.2021
* deactivation of old inbound mailsystem: 21.2021

Q&A:
1.) Do I lose EMails during the deployment?
no

2.) Do I have a delay for delivery during the deployment?
no

3.) Do I have to do anything in Control Panel before, during or after the deployment?
no

4.) Do I get more or less spam / virus after the deployment?
This depends on your selected policy for your mail-alias. If you have selected "remove spam and virus" you will get less of these emails. No tagged EMails become delivered in future.
